DetailsArtisan-made solid gold jewelry: you've found it. This necklace was designed and handmade by me in my Connecticut studio. There is nothing more luxurious than solid gold. This delicate, wearable 18-inch necklace is all solid 14 karat gold, with five 24 karat gold bubbles into the circle pendant. It's a minimalist piece that reveals more detail the closer you look. The clasp is handmade.
The bubbles are made using one of my favorite techniques: granulation. In this ancient technique, tiny pieces of metal are heated almost to their melting point, and as they reach that point they form spheres. In this piece, five tiny spheres of 24 karat gold are soldered securely to the 14 karat gold pendant.
14 karat gold is hypoallergenic and nickel-free. It is among the most durable metals and ideal for everyday wear. -
