DetailsTwist, swing, ripple: these kinetic peridot earrings are a symphony of movement. The peridots are a sparkling apple green cut in an asymmetrical, angular style and originate in Arizona. Peridot is the birthstone for August.
Handmade by me in my Connecticut studio: each vertebra started out as a plain piece of round argentium silver wire, which I then cut, twisted, connected, strung together, and hammered, with nary a power tool in sight.
Argentium sterling silver is an extremely hypoallergenic, high-quality variation on sterling silver. It contains more fine silver than regular sterling (94% vs. 92.5%) and resists tarnishing. -
